Beer Review - Arcadia Nut Brown Ale.

Arcadia Brewing Company - Arcadia Nut Brown Ale

Beer Type: English Brown Ale

Appearance: 12 oz brown bottle with a squirrel shadow on it. Beer poured a reddish-brown mahogany color with just a little bit of lacing and a thin head.

Smell: A little bit of sweet malt and toasted nuts. Overall this is a fairly mild aroma.

First Drink: Same as the nose - a bit of sweet malt followed by some toasted nut flavors and hops.

Mouthfeel: Fairly thin overall.. it doesn't leave a lasting impression.

Last Drink: A bit of chocolate now with a lot more tart cherry flavors coming through.

Drinkability: Easy to drink and you don't need to think about it too much. Nice.

Notes: Comes from a Michigan brewery that I haven't spent too much time drinking. This is a nice mellow brown ale that shouldn't offend most beer drinkers.

Verdict: 3.25 out of 5. Pretty basic but quite drinkable.
